Rubber Chickens Will Be Thrown Out Of Airplanes In Eastern Iowa
I was so excited to find this event last year but I was upset because I found it last second. Luckily, I can tell you to clear your schedule for this Friday after work to see what I assume is one of the coolest and funniest things you'll find in Iowa or the Quad Cities.
This Friday, June 14, 2024, you can watch as screaming rubber chickens get tossed from airplanes and try to hit a target to win a trophy in Clinton. Yep. You read that sentence correctly but go ahead, and read it again. I certainly had to too last year when they first started doing this.
If you're in the Clinton, Iowa area Friday night, stop out starting at 4 p.m. at the Clinton Municipal Airport for the Screaming Chicken Drop event.
Burger Burn & Screaming Chicken Drop In Clinton
The Clinton Municipal Airport put up a social media post about the details of an event we can all get excited about.
Friday evening starting at 4 p.m., they will be hosting the Clinton Municipal Airport Screaming Chicken Drop. If you own a plane or know someone who does think you have what it takes to hit a target from 200 feet in the air using a rubber chicken, this event is for you.
Entry is free and the airport is providing the chickens. Obviously, they aren't real chickens, they are rubber chickens that pilots and bombardiers will toss out of their planes and onto the target.
They get three chances to do so and trophies will be awarded to first and last place. A cookout and the awards ceremony will follow the drop contest.
Sounds like the perfect way to spend a Friday night.
