Student Hunger Drive Kicks Off

It's Student Hunger Drive season. Chances are, there will soon be a teenager or two knocking on your door over the next six weeks, or there will be a event near you supporting the Student Hunger Drive. I can think if one coming up on October 13th at Fricks Tap in Davenport. Details coming soon.

Congrats to my alma mater, Davenport Central. According to WQAD, they won the 2017 Student Hunger Drive skit at the kick-off. The school with the winning skit gets 2,000 pounds added to their total.

Students will battle to collect the most food until November 9th. All food donated will go to the Quad Cities River Bend Food Bank. Check out the Student Hunger Drive Facebook page for details and announcements.
