Super Saturday 2019

If you thought Black Friday crowds were big, get prepared to do some Super Saturday shopping.

Tomorrow (December 21st) is "Super Saturday," or also referred to as "Panic Saturday," because it's the last Saturday before Christmas, and a lot of shopping occurs.

According to USA Today and the National Retail Federation’s new survey, about 147.8 million people, up from 134.3 million last year, plan to head out to malls, outlets and shopping centers for Super Saturday. With so many shoppers doing some last minute shopping, several big box stores are extending their hours on Saturday to hopefully accommodate million of American's schedules.  For instance Kohl's stores are open 24 hours a day through 6 p.m. Christmas Eve.

Here in the Quad Cities, Both the North Park and South Park malls are extending their hours all weekend long.

Even though there will be more people out shopping on Super Saturday than Black Friday, that doesn't mean the deals will be as good. Make sure to check Amazon and other sites if you are heading out to find the best deals and hopefully the store you go to will price match.
