Taylor Swift released her new song, "You Need to Calm Down," and these fan reactions are anything but calm.

After announcing her new album is titled Lover and that it's going to officially drop on August 23, the singer unveiled her second single at midnight on Friday (June 14). As promised, the track is a delight and proves she's completely over her Reputation era. In fact, many are saying this is the gay anthem the world needed.

“You just need to take several seats and then try to restore the peace/ And control your urges to scream about all the people you hate/ ‘Cause shade never made anybody less gay," she sings.

The lyrics (which you can read, in full, here) also tackle so many other important issues like women's rights and bullying, as well as calls out hate groups and internet trolls. Though she didn't name names in the song, fans quickly pointed out that Swift conveniently released the song on Donald Trump's birthday...
