The 5 Best Iced Coffee Drinks in the Quad Cities
You might not think of the Quad Cities as being the coffee capital of the midwest, but there are many local shops that serve up pretty tasty lattes, frapps and other frothy concoctions. It's always the perfect time to hit up some of these spots for a delicious iced treat.
The Nutty Professor at Atomic Coffee- 4707 N. Brady St, Davenport
Atomic is relatively new to the Quad Cities, and is tucked away in a small building in front of a strip mall off Brady Street. Atomic offers many unique and caffeine-filled drinks, but their iced Nutty Professor is the one you'll be writing home about. Packed with espresso and caramel peanut mocha sauce, it tastes like a combination of a snickers bar and iced heaven in your mouth.
Iced Lattes at Milltown Coffee-3800 River Drive Suite 2 Moline
If you're not blown away by Milltown's cool industrial atmosphere or its scenic Mississippi views, then you better at least appreciate their killer coffee. They serve up their iced lattes with a smile (and often in a very hipster ball jar), and all of the syrups used are house made. It doesn't get much higher in quality than that. Oh, and for the non coffee drinkers, their seasonal iced tea selection is pretty fantastic too.
The Owen at Dunn Bros- 787 Middle Road, Bettendorf
In a sea of delicious drinks, the Vanilla Iced Nirvana with brown sugar (or an "Owen" as the regulars call it) is truly a standout. What's not to love about cold pressed coffee swirling with cream and delicious vanilla syrup? Oh yeah, the same drink kicked up a notch with brown sugar. It's a sweet refresher on a hot summer day... Or any day, really.

The Quad at Cool Beanz Coffeehouse- 1325 30th St, Rock Island
Cool Beanz is in close proximity to Augustana, so it's always filled to the brim with college kids. Pretend you're a hip youngster and order the aptly named the Quad- a latte made with all four of their fave syrups, naturally. It includes butterscotch, chocolate, vanilla and a little bit of cherry, so it's basically a sundae version of the QC in iced coffee form.
