There Is A Petition To Rename Columbus, Ohio, To ‘Flavortown’

One of the biggest memes of all time for many is a man named Guy Fieri. If you're asking yourself who is Guy Fieri here's a quick over view. Guy Ramsay Fieri is an American restaurateur, author, and an Emmy Award winning television presenter. He is known for hosting various television series on the Food Network, but now is a huge meme. People from all over the world know him for many different reasons.

He has recently become main stream again due to the multiple stories about him coming out as an incredibly nice and generous man. So with people knowing him from TV, memes, and as a philanthropist, now want to name a city after his famous catch phrase. Thousands have signed the petition to rename Columbus, Ohio, to 'Flavortown' after native son Guy Fieri.

Tyler Woodbridge, put this petition together saying this new name is for a few reasons.

"Melting pot of different cultures and nationalities"

Also stating that it would honor the city,

"Proud heritage as a culinary crossroads and one of the nation's largest test markets for the food industry,"
