This New Downtown Davenport Restaurant Is Taking Sandwiches To Another Level

Warning: Looking at the menu for Panini & Friends might actually make you drool.

The downtown Davenport restaurant just opened a couple of weeks ago, but I already need to be there.

First of all, they have breakfast paninis, which is probably the best idea I've heard of in a long time. Their breakfast menu includes items such as the "All Shook Up," a clear homage to Elvis, which features peanut butter, bacon, and bananas on Texas toast and "Double Heat," which has chorizo, egg, and pepper jack also on Texas Toast. Basically, Texas Toast factors in heavily on their menu and I am all about it.

Panini & Friends' lunch menu is also extensive and includes everything from a vegetarian hummus panini to a modern twist on a Reuben. And oh yeah, DESSERT paninis are also a thing here, including a Smores sandwich on cinnamon swirl bread. WHAT.

Panini & Friends also has an extensive coffee menu, so that pretty much seals the deal for me. It's always great to see new local businesses come to the Downtown Davenport area, and it helps that all 20 of their Facebook reviews are outstanding. I think I need to get myself down there ASAP.
