This Popular Clothing Store is Closing All Locations, Including QC Store

We hate seeing retailers shut their doors.

KWQC reports that popular women's dress retailer Dress Barn is closing all of its locations, including its store on 53rd Street in Davenport.

Ascena Retail Group, which owns Dressbarn, announced Monday that Dressbarn “plans to commence a wind-down of its retail operations, including the eventual closure of its approximately 650 stores.”

The reason for the closure? Ascena says the store “has not been operating at an acceptable level of profitability in today's retail environment.”

Similar stores like TJ Maxx and H&M, along with online retailers like Amazon have been difficult for Dress Barn to compete within recent years.
