From rolling fields of golden farmland to the rushing waters of the Mississippi, Iowa is full of natural beauty, but one particular spot stands out from the rest.

Conde Nast Traveler recently held a Facebook poll to see what readers think is the most beautiful place in each state. Iowa's winner was Maquoketa Caves, the uniquely gorgeous state park just an hour north of the QC.

Seriously, if you've never been there, the park is just stunning. The cavernous limestone formations make you feel like you're on an adventure in some different time period. Six miles of hiking trails allow for visitors to get up close with the caves and all their beauty. It's the perfect place to step away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and get in touch with nature. It's no wonder readers selected Maquoketa Caves as Iowa's top spot.
