Three Iowa Residents Have Tested Positive for Coronavirus
Coronavirus is continuing to spread rapidly throughout the United States. Three cases of the COVID-19 strain have now been confirmed in Iowa, reports WQAD.
Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds announced at a press conference on Sunday evening that the three cases all stemmed from Iowans that had taken an Egyptian cruise. All three are Johnson County residents, meaning they live in the Iowa City/Coralville area.
The three are not hospitalized as of right now and are instead self-quarantining at home.
Reynolds says that state leaders have been coordinating with the Iowa Department of Public Health to prep for when the virus would hit.
COVID-19 has infected residents in 34 states as of Sunday night.
