January is always a difficult month when it come to finding things to do. COVID has made this search even harder, thankfully there is an exhibit for all ages in the Quad Cites and it's called 'PLAY: THE STORY OF TOYS'.

It's hard to find things that both you and the kids can enjoy, but this event gives us just that. Showing the history of toys in a fun and unique way.

located at the Putnam Museum and Science Center in Davenport Iowa, this is a great way to learn about the history of certain toys.

You’ll be able to take a look at a variety of toys including those that are educational, creative, and meant for the outdoors. Visitors can explore how gender roles in society were reinforced by children’s toys.

There is also room for discussion about favorite toy fads along with those dangerous toys you may have had growing up.

As someone who loves museums it's great to see exhibits that can offer a fun learning experience for people of all ages. They even make it local by including exhibits featuring a case all about toys manufactured right here in the Quad Cities.

This story runs until April so you and the family have plenty of time to pick the date that works just right for you. More information can be found here.
