Two Davenport Schools on Lockdown due to Police Activity
UPDATE: Both Lockdowns at Davenport West High School and Wilson Elementary School have been lifted.
On Wednesday morning, a man with a rifle was reported near the location of Davenport West.
Due the proximity, district leaders also placed Wilson on lockdown.
According to WQAD, "Around 9:45 a.m., Davenport Police were staged near Locust and N. Fairmount Streets. Shortly after 10 a.m., police were spotted with a K9 near N. Zenith Avenue and Hidden Valley Circle.
The lockdowns at both schools were lifted around 10:25 a.m. Saul said they were lifted 'at the direction of the Davenport Police Department.'"
Police have not yet issued a statement on the situation.

School officials say the lock down was at the request of the Davenport Police Department after a man was spotted in the area carrying a rifle.
District officials say parents are reciving notifications about what is happening.
