An escaped prisoner out of Tennessee was finally captured.

Jacob Morley, a prisoner serving a life sentence in Tennessee for killing a coworker, had a specific escape route.

Morley was evading capture for more than a week after he got out of the Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville, Tennessee on October 25th.

He was taken back into custody after FLOCK cameras caught him around Kansas City, hundreds of miles away from the prison. His truck got stuck in the mud and that was the end of it.

The Week In The Shed

So in the interim, what was Morley doing?

It's believed that 28-year-old Morley made his way (unassisted) to a farm around Marion, Illinois. He found a shed that was periodically used by hunters and stayed there.

Investigators found evidence in the shed that Morley had drank beer, made garlic bread, and wrote an apology letter after stealing a truck from the farm. He's also suspected of stealing clothes and firearms from the property too.

And why Marion? Williamson County (Illinois) Sheriff Jeff Diederich said:

How he ended up in Marion is kind of a mystery.

He had abandoned the truck he stole for his initial escape and took another vehicle. On his way to the shed, he was caught walking down Route 13 then disappeared into the woods.

This isn't the first time Morley has evaded. When he saw deputies at his house 4 years ago to arrest him, he led them on a chase that ended up in North Carolina. Ultimately he was caught and charged with  first-degree murder, aggravated burglary, tampering with evidence, vandalism and evading arrest.
