Haley Moore rescued her 1-and-a-half year old Maremma mix, Clover, as a puppy, and Clover recently returned the favor.

As Haley was walking Clover through their neighborhood, Haley began to suddenly began to suffer a seizure. It was something that had never happened before.

She fell to the ground, and Clover knew something was wrong. She checked on Haley, and immediately freed her leash from under Haley to stop the next car that came by.

Video shows her backing slowly in front of a truck that was pulling through.

"It was really impressive, the dog actually blocked my way. She kind of backed into the road to block my truck," said the driver, Dryden Oatway.

Dryden told CTV News that he checked on Haley, and ran to the closest house and rang the doorbell to get help while he attended to her, with Clover keeping close watch.

"The whole time she was backing down the street she had eyes on Hailey; didn’t look away from her. She kept her distance from me but made sure her owner was okay and that was amazing," he added.

Soon, Clover caught the attention of another neighbor who was able to help.

"Immediately I just stopped and I jumped out of the Jeep and I asked Dryden if everything was okay and he was like, "I don’t know, she fell," Danielle Pilon told CTV.

After Pilon arrived, Clover ran home to grab Haley's family.

"When I got a knock on the door from the neighbours, they were frantic and our dog Clover was barking like crazy," Randall Moore, Haley’s father, said.

When the family arrived on the scene, Haley was being put into the ambulance.

"To see my daughter, face full of mud, and she was incoherent, wasn’t sure where she was, it was just terrifying, it really was,” Randall told CTV.

It's not known what caused the seizure, but it is known that if it happens again, Clover will be there.
