Almost four years after his first highly-acclaimed tour, “Weird Al” Yankovic is hitting the road with his The Unfortunate Return of the Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour. One of his tour stops will be in eastern Iowa next year. He'll be making a stop at the Paramount Theatre on Tuesday, July 19th, 2022.

Weird Al promises to deliver a different setlist every night, drawing from his back catalog of 14 studio albums, meaning no two shows will be the same. As before, rather than focusing on the hits from his career, the show will feature Yankovic’s non-parody material. And like the last Vanity Tour, he is leaving behind the high-octane theatrics that he’s known for and going bare-bones. No costumes, no props, no video screens. Just Al and his band of almost four decades.

“Weird Al” Yankovic is the biggest-selling comedy recording artist of all time and a five-time Grammy winner. His 2014 release Mandatory Fun was the first comedy album in history to debut at #1 on Billboard’s Top 200.

Legendary comedian Emo Philips will be joining Al on this tour at the Paramount Theatre on July 19th. Philips has performed over 7000 stand-up comedy shows across the globe, including a two-week theater run in London’s West End.

Tickets for the show in Cedar Rapids are on sale now. Ticket prices start at $39. According to the Paramount Theatre, every ticket holder must produce a physical COVID-19 vaccination card or proof of a negative test (within 72 hours) to obtain entry to the venue for the WEIRD AL event. A matching photo ID is also required.

Tickets to "Weird Al" Yankovic's, The Unfortunate Return of the Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour at the Paramount Theatre in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday, July 19th, 2022, can be purchased here.
