Christmas is just around the corner, and our front yards are still looking pretty bare. But will it be that way on the 25th? The gurus at the the Weather Chanel have all the predictions you could ever want, and for the most part, they're saying a Christmas snowfall is unlikely for us. *Sad sigh*

Meteorologists define a "white Christmas" as one where there is at least an inch of snow on the ground. It doesn't even have to be fresh snow; it just has to be there. Experts continue to update their predictions, but it's probably just not gonna happen this year. Maybe we can hope for at least a dusting to brighten up all the sad-looking dead grass?

Basically, because we're in an El Niño year, our weather is going to be weird and dry. Most of the cold temperatures are staying in the northwest while the moisture is sticking to the south.  For a much more scientific explanation, check out the predictions at The Weather Chanel.com and stay optimistic, friends.
