Wisconsin Boy Dies On Make-A-Wish Trip
A Wisconsin boy has died during his trip to Mall of America in Minnesota for Make-A-Wish.
11 year old Mikey Choroszy, lost his battle with brain cancer Jan. 1 while on a Make-A-Wish trip in Minnesota. The sixth grader and his family spent New Year’s Eve at Mall of America checking out the numerous shops, the Lego Store and the ferris wheel, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. They also said his brother drove from South Dakota through a snow storm to be with him
Mikey and his family were eating at Perkins restaurant that evening when Mikey became unresponsive, and later died at a Minneapolis hospital.
“The biggest thing was watching him die, that was the worst,” mother Tammy Wildish told WTMJ.
Mikey’s death was the second to hit the family in the last two years. Just 1 year and 2 days prior, his older brother Robbie Miskulin, 19, died of diabetes on Jan. 3, 2018, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
A family friend set up a GoFundMe to raise money for a funeral and to help transport Mikey’s body back to Wisconsin. Mikey's body is still in Minnesota and the cost to transport his body back to his hometown of Sussex, WI will be quite costly.
As of this post, they have raised 36,700+. Click here to donate to Mikey's family during their time of need.
