10 Things Iowans Should Never Store In Your Garage
You may need to check your garage this summer.
Some garages can be really dicey places to be in the summer. If it's cluttered, there's a good chance a snake or rat is somewhere in it, so proceed with caution. But on the other hand, garage beers in the summer are a staple Midwest moment.
The garage (like the attic) becomes a catch-all room for a lot of us. Need to move boxes that are in the house? To the attic or to the garage with it. Need to stick Christmas decorations somewhere? Good news.
Garages can be stuffed with things we've been meaning to donate for a while, stuff that we always swear we'll need or want later that we don't, or stuff that we just haven't thrown away for whatever reason.

Besides the bugs, a huge issue is just the garage itself. Most garages are inherently dank, really cold or really hot depending on the season, and even just that affects more items than you would probably think. It's worth the garage cleanout if you can catch a time that's not too hot outside.
