21 Year Old Opens New Coffee Shop In Rock Island

There's a new coffee shop in Rock Island but what might surprise you is this. The co-owner, Ciara Agasini is only 21.

The new shop, Awake opened a few days ago and already the place is jumping. According to  OurQuadCities.com the store, 1430 4th Ave. serves plenty of caffeinated and energy drinks (I'm curious about the drink called, "Tidal Wave") along with espresso, lattes and French press coffee. You're also going to appreciate a drive-thru.

In just a few days, Awake has earned a 5 star rating on Google with good reviews. Here's what one reviewer says:

A chill place to get energized.
Their french press coffee was smooth and the two mixed energy drinks I tried were both amazing (JCMO and Vitamin C).
They get their baked goods from all around. Their berry scone was delicious.

You'll find breakfast sandwiches, panini's and pastries there too. Hours are Mon.-Sat. 6 am- 9 pm and Sun. 6 am-2 pm.
