Does it feel like the longest day ever today? What in the world is a strawberry moon?

Today may feel like the longest day ever and you'd be correct if you made that assessment. Not only is it Monday, which  inevitably feels like a long day, but it's the first day of the summer solstice.

It is also going to be, what Native Americans called, a strawberry moon. Not because it's going to turn red or some syrupy-substance is going to leak from the sky. It was a reminder to them to pick the fruit that was in-season at the time. You know, before we had the convenience of having strawberries year-round.

It is incredibly the fourth full moon between March and June and the cool thing about this is that are are usually only three.

It's a magical night tonight and you'll want to catch it while you can. The next one won't happen until 2062.

Enjoy your first, very long day of summer and strawberries.
