Valentine's Day is all about spreading love, so what better way to celebrate than by adding a furry new family member?

And if you can adopt for a super affordable price, even better.

Local News 4 reports both locations of the Quad City Animal Welfare Center are offering $14 pet adoptions Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15.

Over 150 animals are available to adopt, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and even rabbits.

The Executive Director of the shelter, Patti McCrae recommends visiting the shelter and meeting with different animals to see which one is a good fit for your family.

“Come out and visit us,” said McCrae. “Our staff will introduce you to the animals, we’ll talk to you and we want to make sure that it’s going to be a good match for you.”

Those who already own pets or have children are strongly encouraged to bring the whole family for a meet and greet to ensure everyone will get along will.

One huge plus of adopting from QC Animal Welfare Center? All pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before you bring them home.

Quad City Animal Welfare Center is located at 724 2nd Ave. W. in Milan and at SouthPark Mall, 4500 16th St., Moline.
