A QC Restaurant Has Announced It Will Remain Closed Until Fall Due To Flooding
Many QC businesses have had to close indefinitely because of flooding, and now one local restaurant says they won't be re-opening until at least the fall.
According to WQAD, Front Street Brewery in Downtown Davenport has a large amount of damage from the flooding, including mud residue and standing water in the basement. Contractors are surveying the damage this week.
The restaurant was also hit hard back in 1993, which resulted in the creation of their beer "Raging River." Owners are saying they will create a new beer to memorialize this year's flood.
Front Street fans won't have to go far to get their beer fix, despite the restaurant's closing. Their riverfront taproom at the Freight House just re-opened on Tuesday and is offering many deals to attract customers. Green Tree Brewery in LeClaire is also selling Front Street's beer.
