An arts fair in Davenport is going to bring in arts of all kinds of styles and mediums this weekend.

Beaux Arts Fair is happening at the Figge Art Museum in downtown Davenport this weekend, August 19th-20th. This year, the fair is part of Alternating Currents, which is a multi-day festival that highlights music, visual art, comedy, and will even feature pro-wrestling.

Beaux Arts Fair will be at the Figge's Bechtel Plaza on Saturday, August 19th from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and on Sunday, August 20th from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Luckily the weather for this weekend doesn't look too bad. It looks like it will be warm but sunny, according to our friends at KWQC. There will also be a children's activity area, food vendors, and live music.

It is free to attend Beaux Arts Fair, and it's free to attend Alternating Currents events.

Beaux Arts Fair is a juried arts show that chooses winners in multiple art categories, including: clay, drawing/prints, fiber, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture, wood, and glass. The fair happens twice a year, in the spring and in the fall, but this is the first time it has been part of the Alternating Currents festival. This marks 70 years for the fair.

Admission to the Figge will be free on August 19th & 20th. I've heard great things about their current Peanuts exhibit. According to their website, the Beaux Arts Fund Committee donates proceeds from the fair to the Figge to help fund exhibitions and educational programs for the museum.
