If you're not eating food that came off of a grill or smoker on the 4th of July, are you even American, bro? I'm only kidding, you eat what you would like. But with it being summertime, grilled food sounds fire, and BBQ off of the smoker makes your mouth water just thinking about it.

Luckily for us, finding great barbeque doesn't mean traveling too far away. Sure, there are a bunch of great BBQ places in the Quad Cities that you need to support. And if you haven't found one yet, keep looking or sniffing for that delicious BBQ smell.

But if you take about a two-and-a-half-hour drive to Chicago one of these days, you're going to find some of the best barbeque of your life. Sure, Chicago is known for its deep dish pizza, but don't sleep on several of the 4 out of 5-star reviewed BBQ joints in the heart of the Windy City.

I want you to click here for a second and come right back... You're back now, right? See all of those photos of the delicious-looking barbeque and the amount of places there are to enjoy it? Yeah, Chicago has it going on.

Chicago was named the 9th best city for barbeque in America. The obvious cities were listed about it including St. Louis, Kansas City (both Missouri and Kansas), Memphis, Austin, and others. I'm not sure why LawnStarter put Los Angeles in the top 5 above Chicago, but they did.

The next time to go to a Cubs or White Sox game, try to make it a point to go snag some brisket, ribs, or a pulled pork sandwich from any of those places you find on Google. I bet the Chicago-style deep-dish pizza craving goes out the door. Except for Pequod's. That craving never goes away.
