It's always a let down when you hear about local business owners being shady. It's unfortunate, really.

Diamonds, gold and lies. Makes for the perfect set up of something you would hear about on a good movie or novel. But definitely now what you would expect in and around our Quad Cities area.

According to KWQC.com,

Police say Jeffrey Hughes, the co-owner of Premier Jewelry and Revel Jewelers in Bettendorf, and Shane Tague, a manage at Premier Jewlry, are accused of buying stolen jewelry estimated to be worth $16,000. It included a large carat diamond.

First degree theft is the charge Hughes and Tague faces.
