Cardi B to Reportedly Perform at 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show *If* She Gets a Solo Set
She's just a regular, degular, shmegular girl from the Bronx... who may be stepping onto the Super Bowl Halftime Show stage next year—if the offer's right.
TMZ reports that Cardi B is in talks to perform at the NFL Super Bowl LIII in 2019.
The tabloid writes that the "Bartier Cardi" rapper is in negotiations to perform "Girls Like You," her remix with Maroon 5. It was reported earlier this month that the American rock band are confirmed to play the annual sporting event after being offered a headlining spot.
However, it turns out Cardi's Super Bowl moment may depend on whether or not the NFL will allow the 2018 Grammy nominee to have her own moment to shine solo onstage.
"The main issue being discussed is whether or not CB gets a solo set. We're told she's getting a lot of offers to perform in early February ... so she's trying to make the best deal possible," TMZ writes.
The 2019 Super Bowl will be held in Atlanta, Georgia on February 3, 2019.
Last year's Super Bowl Halftime Show performer was Justin Timberlake. The pop star did not have any musical guests.
