Clinton police asking for information to find murder suspect
The Clinton Police Department is asking for any information in the search a wanted man. The suspect they are looking for has an arrest warrant has been issued for Murder in the First Degree.
In a press release on Thursday, the Clinton Police Department is asking residents if they have any information for a suspect that's wanted for murder.
According to the Clinton police's announcement on social media, on December 13 at 6:15 pm, the Clinton Police Department responded to Hop-N-Shop, 716 S. 4th Street in Clinton, for a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they found an adult male who had been shot. The victim was transported to Mercy Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The victim was identified as 26 year-old Cedrick D. Hood.
Officials from the Clinton police say that as a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant has been issued for Carlton Douglas Jr., for Murder in the First Degree. Police asks that anyone with information on this investigation or the whereabouts of Carlton Douglas Jr., please call the Clinton Police Department at 563-243-1455.
Officials said in the press release that the incident remains under investigation by the Clinton Police Department, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigations and the Clinton County Attorney’s Office.
