Someone In Western Illinois Won $1 Million From Powerball
If you got a Powerball ticket lately, check it!
According to a release obtained by WHBF, Illinois has 2 new millionaires after Saturday night's Powerball drawing.
One of the $1 million winning tickets was sold at Road Ranger, 890 East Highway 38 in Rochelle.
The other $1 million winning Powerball ticket was sold at Shell, 1350 Cleveland Road in Colona.
The two tickets both matched Saturday night's winning Powerball numbers: 13, 16, 18, 20, and 27. They didn't get the Powerball number (10) but still winning Powerball's second-highest prize of $1 million.
The managers at both locations are thrilled they had the $1 million winning Powerball tickets. The stores will each get 1% of the winning tickets they sold, so both the Colona Shell and the Rochelle Road Ranger will get $10,000.
These two wins mark the 10th and 11th times that Illinois Lottery players have won $1 million or more playing Powerball.
If You Win The Lottery
If you were to win any money on the lottery, immediately write your name on the back of your ticket and keep it in a safe place until you're ready to go claim your prize. You can make an appointment with an Illinois Lottery claim center to go pick up your money.
Powerball draws Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights at 9:59 p.m. CST.
You can get more details about the Illinois Lottery's games and drawings on the Illinois Lottery website.
It's important to double-check your lottery tickets in case you did win big. Lottery winners have one year from their winning date to go claim their prizes.
