Cops And Cones Is Back For Its 5th Year In Davenport
Aside from that brief, out-of-nowhere storm we had this week, it's been pretty hot in the Quad Cities. But, I guess that's just...Summer! While we aren't wishing for Midwest cold to come back, we still need to cool off just a bit – and that's where ice cream comes in.
This week, you can eat ice cream with Davenport's finest! It's not some clever ruse to lure in a dim-witted criminal – although, Davenport PD's Facebook game has gotten strong in that area – it's just an effort to bring the community together.
On Tuesday, August 13th, members of the community can head over to Vander Veer Botanical Park in Davenport for the 5th annual Cops and Cones Ice Cream Social. The event starts at 6 p.m. and is free to everyone who wants to attend.
As of writing this, Tuesday has a slight chance of rain, but only in the morning. The evening is clear and cool. Perfect for a cone.
