Crime Alert Issued At The University of Iowa
The Iowa City Gazette reports that a crime alert has been issued at the University of Iowa after a scary dorm invasion incident occurred on Thursday.
A police report states that a man entered an east side dorm hall that night and climbed into a sleeping woman's bed. The man allegedly grabbed her ankles and pulled her blankets.
After the woman confronted the intruder, he took off.
Campus police are continuing to investigate the incident. Students that may have information regarding the event are asked to contact authorities at (319) 335-5022. There's also an app called Rave Guardian where students can anonymously report crime tips.
Police are also telling students to make sure their apartments and dorm rooms are locked at all times, even if they leave for a short amount of time.
