After a delay on the 4th of July, a QC classic show is back.

Since Red White & Boom was postponed on America's big 250th birthday, many people have been asking when it's going to come back, with speculation being on Labor Day weekend.

Now, the Downtown Davenport Partnership has confirmed a new date for Red White & Boom that will coincide with the Alternating Currents festival.

Red White & Boom fireworks will be on August 15th at 9:30 p.m. with the great views at Schweibert Park in Rock Island and LeClaire Park in Davenport.

The post does point out that the usual festivities (like food vendors and live music) in LeClaire Park won't be going on but they will have the fireworks.

The fireworks will still be synced to the music on 97X.

Alternating Currents, the festival that celebrates arts of all kinds like music, comedy, movies, and visual art, will be August 13th-16th. On the 15th, the Saturday of Red White & Boom, there will be plenty of activities for the festival going on throughout the day. That includes free admission to the Figge, live music, a kids' improv show at The Last Picture House, and even a cooking event and a dog team performance.

There will also be plenty of amateur movies to watch, art to enjoy, live music at many venues, and more. See the schedule for Alternating Currents on their website.
