A Davenport restaurant that was a must-stop for President Obama when he visited the Quad Cities is opening a second location.

A report in the Quad City Times says Antonella's, a Sicilian eatery on 3rd Street in downtown Davenport has discussed an agreement on a lease with The Davenport Riverfront Improvement Commission, which they hope to approve at their next meeting. The commission oversees the Freight House property on the riverfront where Antonella's will open a second location.

If all goes as planned, a more casual location called Antonella's 2 will open serving a quick-service version of their menu of pastas and pizzas. It's hoped the new location will be ready to go to coincide with the opening of the Farmer's Market in April.
