For those who are a fan of this popular Illinois restaurant's pizza and beer, you need to get there this week before they close up shop for good

Before you start feeling bad for the owners, it sounds like they are about to live the dream that I would love to live. Slinging pizzas and serving beers on a beach in Florida. Sounds amazing, right?

Either way, we'll soon be without another pizza place and brewery in our community, especially one with a unique theme. This pizza restaurant and brewery's final opening day is this weekend, and there will be plenty of specials to enjoy before it closes.

Popular Punk Rock Pizza & Brewery In Illinois Closing

In a social media post on Thursday, Feb. 27th, 2025, the owners of Punk Rock Pizza & Brewery, 637 1st in Silvis, announced that the restaurant will be closing its doors permanently on Saturday, March 8th.

The restaurant and brewery has been open at its location, the former Sluggers Pizza and St. Giuseppe's Pizza for less than a year. Punk Rock Pizza & Brewery opened on June 25, 2024, and were so busy that night that they ran out of pizza and pasta.

Owners of Punk Rock say they have the potential to relocate their beer and pizza equipment to a location along the beach in Madeira Beach, FL. If you have ever been to Maderia Beach like I have, you know that's a beautiful place to live and own your own business.

Owners say they have plenty of beers to sell and will do their best to keep pizza ingredients stocked ahead of their closing date.

A potential "encore" party could happen on March 9th. See more details about specials and more on their Facebook page.
