Davenport's Restaurant Opening Second Quad City Location

After over a year and a half of seeing local restaurants and businesses struggling because of COVID and staff shortages, getting the news that a Quad Cities restaurant is able to expand into a second location makes us all feel good. Bayside Bistro, a staple in the Quad Cities, is adding a second location on the Illinois side to be able to serve its food to more Quad Citizens.

On Tuesday, LaTisha and Darryl Howlett joined our news partner, Local 4 News, to announce the exciting news that they are opening a second location. The new Bayside Bistro location will be at 2704 18th Avenue in Rock Island, IL. The location is the old Spagos building which is across from Dunkin Donuts and next to Rudys, according to QuadCities.com.

While there isn't a set date, the Howlett's plan to open the second location for Bayside Bistro in the old Spagos building in spring of 2022.

Bayside Bistro has been a staple in the Village of East Davenport since August of 2018. Their current location is at 1105 Christie Street in Davenport.

Bayside Bistro is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Serving up breakfast, fresh fruit smoothies, sandwiches and dinners with Caribbean flavors, and more, Bayside Bistro really a Quad Cities favorite.

The Howlett's said in their social media post when they announced the news,

"We look forward to serving our great customers on both sides of the (Mississippi) River."

We know those in Rock Island and folks on the Illinois side of the river are looking forward to it too.
