Did You Win $700,000 With This Lottery Ticket Sold In Illinois?
It might be a good time to double-check your lottery ticket.
A lot of us at one point or another buy something like a Powerball or Megamillions ticket and put it on the mental backburner, forgetting to even look at the numbers.
If you bought a Lucky Day Lotto ticket recently, check it.
According to the Illinois Lottery, the ticket was sold at a Shell in Chicago's Old Town neighborhood (specifically, 130 West North Avenue). And what's wild: the gas station's owner, Manny, says that less than a month ago, the station sold a scratch-off that had a winning $50,000 prize.
The station will get a $7,000 bonus. Manny said he'll use the bonus like this:
Many of my employees have been with me since the very first day this Shell station opened– over 25 years ago. That includes Alicia Sandoval, our store manager, and George Urbietta, who helps oversee all of our locations. I plan to reward my employees by distributing part of the bonus to them.
The Winning Numbers
Suddenly remember that you bought a ticket? The winning numbers from Friday, April 11th's midday drawing were: 28-29-30-32-37. The winning ticket matched all numbers to hit the jackpot.
Winners of Illinois Lottery games have a year from the drawing date to claim their prize. You're encouraged to write your name on the back of your winning ticket and keep it somewhere safe before you claim your prize because duh.
Lucky Day Lotto is an Illinois-only game that has two daily drawings at 12:40 p.m. and 9:22 p.m.
