Eastern Iowa Man Wins Massive $100,000 Lottery Prize
A man from a very small town in Eastern Iowa is now a big winner. With his winnings, he could give everyone in town, including himself, almost $1,000 if he really wanted. He doesn't plan on doing that but it's cool knowing he could.
The man from Toronto, Iowa (yes, that's a real town), keeps the luck of the QCA and Eastern Iowa alive with this massive lottery prize from the Iowa Lottery.
Eastern Iowa Man In Small Town Wins Big
On Thursday, the Iowa Lottery announced that they have a big winner out of Clinton County.
Meet Steven Duvall of Toronto, IA (population of just 102 people). Steven just won the 34th top prize in the Iowa Lottery's "$100,000 Mega Crossword" scratch game. Of course that top prize is $100,000.
Duvall purchased his winning ticket at Pilot Travel Center, 3500 N. Plainview Road in Walcott. He claimed his prize Wednesday at the lottery's Cedar Rapids regional office.
The odds of winning the $100,000 Mega Crossword game is 1 in 3.30. The game has 38 top prizes of $100,000 and 76 prizes of $10,000 which means there are still 4 tickets in Iowa waiting to be scratched and won.
Second Clinton County Winner
Duvall isn't the only latest winner out of Clinton County. Back 2 weeks again, Amber Widener of Camanche won $50,000 with the Iowa Lottery's new "$50,000 Super Crossword" scratch game.
The chances of winning the top prize of $50,000 with that scratch-off game are 1 in 3.26. Better odds than Duvall had.
Congrats to the latest Iowa Lottery winners in the Quad Cities area. See past winners here.
