This weekend, we "fall back" with the clocks. Don't forget to wind all your clocks back a hour before you go to bed on Saturday, and that means if you're out at the bar or the club, when the clocks hit 2A.M., the clocks fall back a hour, which means a extra hour of partying. Or, if you're like me, and get up early, you get a extra hour of sleep.

It's also time to check your smoke detectors. According to KWQC, Quad City area fire officials recommend you change the batteries in your smoke detector every fall and spring when we change the clocks.

This time of year is extremely important to change the batteries with the fire places, space heaters and furnaces going, and of course Christmas trees.
