Chick N Max, which is based in Wichita, Kansas, plans to open 5-7 restaurants across Iowa, including in Davenport.

The restaurant posted on Facebook that they're looking for franchise partners in Iowa. Specifically, they want to open locations in the Des Moines area, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Sioux City, and Davenport.

Besides their staple sandwiches, Chick N Max's menu does include popcorn chicken, chicken tenders, smoked wings, and more.

There haven't been any specific locations announced for Chick N Max in Iowa yet nor has there been a timeline on openings for them.

Chick N Max currently has 5 locations in the Midwest, 4 of them in Wichita and one in Sioux Falls. They have opened a location in Texas, with a plan to open 25 of them in the Houston area. Chick N Max tells the Des Moines Register that they plan to expand by as many as 50 locations up the I-35 corridor from Dallas-Fort Worth to Minneapolis.

It seems like fried chicken restaurants are flocking (pun intended) to our corner of the country lately. I'm not quite sure why that's all happening now, but it's hard to go wrong with a good chicken sammie.
