Governor's Gets A New Name and Location

A family favorite Bettendorf restaurant in business for more than 40 years will move to a new location and get a new name.

Governor's Pub and Grill announced last fall they will move to a nearby Bettendorf location in order to expand operations.

Yesterday Governor's announced the new location at 3610 Tanglewood Road, Bettendorf would be called the Tangled Wood. A Gov’s Pub Bar will be located inside the restaurant.

According to a Local 4 News story, the restaurants's marketing manager Joseph Janz said, "We have the utmost respect for the legacy of Governor’s, and changing the name was a very difficult decision."

Their current location on Middle and Devil's Glen roads could be converted into a new Hy-vee convenience store and gas station.

The Tangled Wood will be opening in late 2018.
