Haunted Fairgrounds Returns to Popular Eastern Iowa Venue
Spooky season has officially kicked off in the Quad Cities and we have your tickets to the Haunted Fairgrounds below.
Besides corn mazes and pumpkin patches, we all know the 3rd fall staple: haunted houses.
Back for year #2 are the Haunted Fairgrounds at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds. And they're now open!
If it's anything like it was when I visited it last October, it is indeed scary. It featured all kinds of horror themes, from being lost in a haunted corn maze to terrifying clowns.
The schedule for the Haunted Fairgrounds looks like this:
- Fridays & Saturdays: open 6:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.
- Sundays: 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
They will have a special Thursday night opening on October 30th from 6:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.
The Haunted Fairgrounds are open September 26th-November 1st.
Admission is $20 per person, or you can get a fast pass that's $30 per person. Food and drinks will be available for you to buy.
Still wondering what it looks like? Here was my experience at its inaugural preview day last year (I chose to keep the lights on instead of the normal off since scary stuff is not my niche):
Halloween Festivities At MVF
On a less spooky note, the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds will also host a Trunk-or-Treat this Halloween season on October 23rd. And of course, our Halloween Masquerade Ball will be on October 25th for you to get another wear out of your Halloween costume, and you could win money for it!
