You don't have to leave the Easter fun to one weekend.

Back for another year, the Humane Society of Scott County's Doggie Egg Hunt will be at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds!

Besides a fun egg hunt for you and your furchild, the event on April 11th will have 20+ vendors for you to check out, free microchips from the Humane Society and Quad City Animal Welfare Center, all kinds of stuff you could win, and the day is emceed by Yours Very Truly.

The event will be 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Besides all of the vendors, free microchips, and the fur-friendly egg hunt, the event will also have:

  • A vendor hunt you can do to win a $100 Kwik Star gift card
  • Help "fill the van": bring an item the Humane Society has on their wishlist to be entered to win that gift card a 2nd time
  • Rolling treat hunt for the pets, including treats, stuffed animals, and toys
  • Lots of raffle baskets
  • Training demos & games
  • Crochet plushies
  • Photo booth
  • Bobbin' for eggs
  • Coffee (that's convincing enough honestly)

The Humane Society of Scott County's Doggie Egg Hunt is a great warmup to getting your pup outside for fun stuff in warmer weather this spring and summer. If you know you want to take them places, this is a great place to start.

If you know you can't make it to the egg hunt but you're interested in getting a pup to take out to events like it this summer, see the currently adoptable dogs (and cats!) on the Humane Society of Scott County's website.
