How High Schoolers In The Quad Cities Can Workout For Free This Summer
I don't know about you, but when I was in high school the last thing I thought about doing in the summer was working out. But when I was in high school, no gym or fitness center gave me a free pass to work out. A Quad Cities fitness center is offering a membership that allows them to work out for free this summer and two Quad City teens could get a $500 scholarship out of the deal too.
Planet Fitness announced they will be offering teens across the country the ability to work out for free this summer. That's right, completely free.
According to Planet Fitness' website, their free High School Summer Pass membership is easy to sign up for. If your Quad-City high schooler is interested, they can preregister at planetfitness.com by entering their information. Planet Fitness notifies them to fully sign up on May 16th when registration opens to get a free membership.
Those who don't preregister can signup for a free membership between May 16th and August 31st.
Planet Fitness says that the High School Summer Pass is just for teens who are between the ages of 14 and 19. If the teen is under 18, they can sign up with a parent/guardian on the Planet Fitness website or at a Planet Fitness location from May 16 to August 31.
High Schoolers in the Quad Cities who sign up for the High School Summer Pass could also receive a scholarship at the end of the summer too.
The Planet Fitness website says that those who sign up for the pass will be entered for a chance to win a $500 scholarship, with one being awarded to a high schooler in each state who is signed up. Those who get the High School Summer Pass can also win a $5,000 grand prize scholarship.*
That means one high schooler on the Iowa side of the Quad Cities and one on the Illinois side could win a good chunk of change before heading to college.
