It's almost summer time...sum, sum, summer time! That means I'll be looking to grill out as much as I can. I will grill just about anything anytime I can. One of my favorite things to throw on the grill is a good hamburger. I like mine a little pink in the middle with catsup, maybe a little mayo, some American cheese, and a good piece of lettuce. Pretty simple. If I'm feeling froggy, maybe some bacon (and yes, I will prepare it on the grill).

Did you know though, there's a art to building the perfect hamburger? I didn't know there was, but according to Womenshealthmag.com and Food Network star Guy Fieri, there's a fool proof way to build the best hamburger. Here we go starting with the bottom up.

Bun
A crusty brioche won't fall apart.

Sauce and Condiments
Try different spreads on each bun half to punch up the yum factor.

Onions and Pickles
The heat from the patty softens these veggies slightly.

Patty
Dimple the middle before grilling to get a flat surface on the cooked burger.

Cheese
A thin slice evenly covers the patty.

Lettuce and Tomato
Put these on top of the patty to help them stay crunchy.

Sauce and Condiments
Spread on the bun for flavor in every bite.

Bun
Toast each side on an open grill for a nice crust and added texture.

MMMMMM! Delicious. That's not something you can get at one of those fast food joints.
