How To Send DJ Sarah Over The Edge For Big Brothers Big Sisters Of The Mississippi Valley
Yet again, we're sending me down 140 ft. for an excellent cause.
One of my favorite things to do is rappel Hotel Blackhawk for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley. The work they do with mentorship for kids in our community is simply unmatched. They pair good folks in the community ("Bigs") with kiddos ("Littles" ages 7-18) to help them navigate challenges of life and grow into an awesome person. And BBBSMV has that down to an art.
I'm Going Back Over The Edge: Year 3
I'll be back rappeling Hotel Blackhawk again this year (the side facing 4th Street) and I cannot wait. Having a liquid courage bevy with y'all afterwards is a lovely way to land. The rappels will be August 23rd and 24th, but I'll post when I'm rappeling on B100's Facebook page if you'd like to come cheer me and the other courageous Edgers on. But what you can also do is donate.
Help out Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley at my Over The Edge page. You don't have to give a lot, just whatever you feel comfortable with. For perspective, a $25 donation can help ensure that the Littles don't go without basic needs.
If you can't donate money right now, consider donating your time to help them, whether it's volunteering at a fundraiser or taking on the role of 'Big'.
Bottom line: the kiddos need help. I can yeet off a building.
You have until August 16th to donate whatever you can to sending me Over The Edge.
Keep track of what Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley has going on on their Facebook page. I'll see you at Hotel Blackhawk!
