Huge Powerball Prize Still Unclaimed After One Month In Iowa
It's been one month since someone in Eastern Iowa won a couple of million dollars from a Powerball drawing in early October. The winning ticket was only one of two tickets in the U.S. to win this amount of cash but time is running out to claim the prize.
Make sure you check your Powerball tickets if you bought one at this gas station in Johnson County, Iowa because you might be $2 million richer.
$2 Million Powerball Ticket Still Unclaimed In Iowa
A month has passed since the $2 million-winning Powerball ticket was purchased at Casey’s (403 Stephans St.) in Tiffin. This ticket won in the game’s drawing on Oct. 7 was one of only two tickets nationwide to win a $2 million prize that night by matching the five white balls but missing the red Powerball.
The winning numbers in the Oct. 7 drawing were: 47-54-57-60-65 and Powerball 19. The Power Play number was 3.
Casey’s received a $2,000 bonus from the Iowa Lottery for selling the $2 million-winning ticket.
The $2 Million Iowa Powerball Ticket Is Expiring
The official rules with the Iowa Lottery say that prizes won prizes for the April 24, 2023, drawing or later must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing for which they were eligible.
That means whoever won $2 million from the Oct. 7 drawing still has until April 4, 2024, to claim the prize. To be honest, we would love to know a lot sooner than that.
