Just in time for the spring sniffles, Hy-Vee is ready to help.

It's been a nasty winter. Flu, norovirus, whooping cough, it's all been everywhere. Now we're headed into spring and that means allergies and sinus congestion for a lot of us.

Hy-Vee announced they're opening a new Hy-Vee Health Exemplar Care clinic at 4255 Elmore Avenue in Davenport (down the road from Lowe's, over by Kirkland's).

This is Hy-Vee's 5th Health Exemplar Care clinic to open in Iowa.

They're a good option on days you just feel awful and realize you're not making it into work that day. Hy-Vee Health Exemplar Care has walk-in care available to the public Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

According to a release from Hy-Vee, they will see patients of all ages for a variety of non-life threatening issues, including:

  • Flu
  • Fever
  • Earaches
  • Sprains
  • Simple fractures
  • Cuts

You can make appointment reservations for the clinic online and most health insurance is accepted.

Since it's the season of everyone in the family getting sick (all it takes is one kid to bring it home from school), Hy-Vee Health Exemplar Care offers monthly healthcare memberships that are available to either employers or individuals/families. Those allow for unlimited access to direct primary care, walk-in care, and the ability to connect with providers via text, email, or telehealth.

That membership is designed to lower medical expenses by "promoting proactive care without the financial burden of a copay or insurance claim for each visit".

The Davenport clinic now open and you can schedule an appointment here.
