At this point, can we even remember a time when there weren't continuous road closures and detours in the Quad Cities? It's just part of life now. So here's where you'll want to avoid this week.

According to a tweet from the official I-74 Bridge Twitter account, 12th Avenue will be temporarily closed between 18th and 19th street in Moline, ironically on the 12th. The street was closed this morning at 7 a.m. and is expected to re-open at 7 p.m., assuming weather cooperates all day.

Per the site, the detours will be:

Westbound 12th Avenue detour:
Take northbound 19th Street to westbound 7th Avenue to southbound 15th or 16th Streets to 12th Avenue.

Eastbound 12th Avenue detour:
Take northbound 16th Street to eastbound 7th Avenue to eastbound 6th Avenue to southbound 27th Street to 12th Avenue.

Once this work is completed, the I-74 Bridge website notes that 7th Avenue will be next to close. Unfortunately, that one will be closed a bit longer; it appears that the closure will span the whole week.

To see the full list of closures and, more importantly, what their detours will be, you can check them out here.
