I Tried Crawfish @ Gumbo Yaya

I didn't move to the Quad Cities until last August so I didn't have a chance to experience all of the various festivals around the QC last summer.

Not the case anymore! I rounded up the troops and headed to The District in Rock Island for Gumbo Yaya - a New Orleans style festival complete with cajun cuisine and entertainment.

I decided to dive into some jambalaya and one of my friends was daring enough to order crawfish - a Southern favorite.

And, I figured, 'When in Rome!'
