If you want to go out in the Quad Cities, you're going to have to leave someone behind. According to OurQuadCities.com the Scott County Health Department is cracking down on a 2009 FDA ordinance where pets are not allowed in a restaurant or bar outside patio unless they are service animals.

I have personally not brought a pet to a establishment, but I have some good friends that have and their dog (Dude) is well behaved and is everyone's buddy. There isn't anything wrong with it. They are outside! That's where dogs go. If their owners were irresponsible, I can see the fuss, but most customers that do bring a dog to a bar patio keep a close eye on their pet. One bad apple spoiled the bunch. If you ask me, a establishment where customers can bring pets who are well behaved and well mannered are way classier and more appealing. What do you think?
