If You’ve Gotten a Camera Ticket, Iowa May Have to Pay You Back
The debate has been strong over the years about the true legality of these cameras.
The debate is certainly heated no matter what side of the fence you sit on with the traffic camera issue. What is not debatable is that the state and local government is making all the money, and the drivers are the ones paying.
This doesn't sit well with many citizens who are aware of their rights. They feel it's unconstitutional and a violation of due process. To add validation to their concerns, an appellate court in Ohio, made a ruling against in a class-action lawsuit for the same reasons.
